Hi friends and family!!! Thanks for joining us via our blog! Sorry its been so long since our last post! Wow! We can't believe that its already the fall! Where on earth has time gone?? We had a fabulous finish to summer and have had a great start so far to fall!
We celebrated a milestone in our marriage this summer- our first anniversary was August 1st, 2011. We were blessed to have the day off and were able to relax around the house during the day and drove into the city that night for a delicious dinner at Grand Luxe Cafe- totally recommend it to any of you out there who haven't tried it! Wonderful food and beautiful atmosphere!

This summer Anthony and I developed a love for sushi. Some of our greatest friends- Meechy and Kelsey Williams, introduced us to their favorite sushi restaurant in Orland Park, IL, and mmmm was it good! We never thought we would say that we loved sushi, but man, do we ever! We've made it a necessity to have sushi nights at least once a month with Meechy and Kelsey. Some of the greatest food out there!

To finish off the last little bit of our summer, Anthony and I had the joy of heading up to Green Bay, WI for a beautiful wedding, and we snuck in a quick little vacation in Door County! It was a fantastic time to get away from the everyday routine, catch up with friends, and enjoy the beauty that is Door County! Here's a few pictures :) During our mini-vacation in Door County we spent a few hours one afternoon kayaking- we picked up a new hobby! Anthony and I absolutely loved it! We've added it to our list of things to do each summer! Our last day in Door County we took a 10 mile bike ride around Peninsula State Park- it was absolutely beautiful! And challenging-- for me-- Anthony loved every second of it, and I was constantly giving myself a pep-talk to make it thru the ride! But, none the less breathtakingly gorgeous.

To end our wonderful summer, I (Elise) was given the opportunity to interview at Catholic Charities in Kankakee, IL for a Case Manager opening in their Senior Service Department. A few weeks later I was offered a job! It has been such a blessing to work there- I have learned to love living close to my job!! And, finally being in the social work field. Its fantastic knowing I am actually using my degree :)
Hope you all have begun to enjoy the fall weather! We definitely have!!
Love,
Anthony and Elise
