Anthony and I have had a wonderful fall that has been full of family, friends, and lots of laughter and fun!  We have thoroughly enjoyed this season and look forward to the next!  This October we spent a weekend camping with some friends of ours, Matt and Liz Kee.  We rented a campsite near Starved Rock in IL and then spent the next day hiking around Starved Rock State Park.  It was a chilly, but beautiful weekend; one to remember for sure! We took our dog, Morris, with us and he loved the outdoors!  Although, I would venture to guess that his favorite part of the weekend was being able to sleep on our blow-up mattress in between Anthony and I.  He's not allowed on furniture at home, so it was a special treat for him that weekend!  Here's a few pictures below from that weekend!

We also celebrated my (Elise's) Mom's birthday at the end of October- we took her to dinner at Grand Lux Cafe in the city, and were joined by some of our favorite people!

As we just finished with the Thanksgiving holiday and look forward to Christmas, we look forward to seeing many of our family and friends.   Words cannot begin to describe how thankful we are for each one of you- you make us who we are today, and we have been blessed to have you in our lives.  We pray that each one of you might find true satisfaction in the preparation of celebration of our Jesus' life.  We'll leave you with just a few of our favorite pictures from our family's Thanksgiving celebration this year!

This year, I tried my hand at making a dairy free dessert- this is a dairy free, gluten free Pumpkin Mousse, with coconut milk whipping cream.
